History of Microprecision

 

Established in 1975, Microprecision has grown from a small metalworking shop into a full-service contract manufacturer and system supplier.

 

  • 1975

    Company established as Dado Mekaniska Verkstad HB.

  • 1980s

    The company changes its form to a limited company and at the same time changes its name to Microprecision AB.
    Rade Paunovic takes over as the new owner of the company and its managing director.
    A new purpose-built industrial building is constructed and the company moves to this new location in Spånga a suburb of Stockholm.

  • 1990s

    The 1990s saw a strong growth for the company. The growth is triggered by huge demands from the telecom industry.
    Microprecision moves to new larger facilities in Brunna Industriområde.
    The first HSM machining center is purchased mainly for machining aluminium parts.
    Parts of the workshops of Morse Control AB and Hällde Maskiner AB are taken over.
    The plant now operates around the clock. Second and third shifts are introduced to keep up with the demand.

  • 2000s

    Companys biggest machine investment until now is made by purchasing a Hydromat rotary machine for automated mass-production
    JH Automatic AB (maker of tire studding machines and equipment) is taken over.
    A new company Davax d.o.o is started in Serbia in order to provide low-cost production services.
    2000m2 facilities are constructed and Davax employs 50 staff.

  • 2010s

    Expansive years for the company.
    Construction on an additional 4000m2 is started in Serbia.
    Three smaller companies acquired:
    Vidans Mekansika Verkstad AB
    Ingenjörsfirman Hillar Malm AB
    Lindas Finmekaniska AB

  • 2016

    Big investment in the machine park.
    10 new CNC machines are purchased.
    Construction on the facilities in Serbia is completed.

  • 2017

    2 new machines installed.
    New MD appointed.
    Håbo Finmekaniska AB is taken over.
